Carmilla

By David MacDowell Blue

Performed November 2025

“But to die as lovers may - to die together, so that they may live together.”

In a secluded Austrian castle, young Laura’s life is forever changed by the arrival of a guest- the beautiful and beguiling Carmilla. What begins as a story of companionship soon transforms into something far more terrifying. As Laura’s health declines, her father and governess must save her from a tangled web of affection and predation.

Inspired by J. S. Le Fanu’s gothic classic Carmilla, this production brings to the stage a haunting tale of loneliness, queer desire, and the supernatural.

Poster for a theatrical performance of 'Macbeth' by Sheridan Le Fanu, performed in English, showing a silhouetted figure of a woman inside a church window, with Gothic-style stained glass, dates November 21-23 and 27-29, at 8 pm, ticket prices 10 and 13 euros.
