Richard III
BY WILLIAM SHAKSPEARE
Performed: June 2015
In the fall-outs of the War of the Roses one man eagerly grabs for power. Richard III is a play about mistrust, paranoia, violence, and the lead character's strife for greatness. In a world of constant war and psychological as well as physical abuse everyone has to fend for themselves.
This adaptation focuses on shifting loyalties, people's interactions in extreme situations, and egocentrism in every sense of the word.
Today, in a society of continuous struggle for upward mobility, this play has lost none of its relevance.
